Limited-Time Demo for BlazBlue Entropy Effect X Now Live Alongside New Gameplay Preview

SHANGHAI – January 15, 2026 – Astrolabe Games is pleased to announce the limited-time playable demo of the highly-anticipated 2D action roguelite game, BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, is now officially available on PlayStation Store for PlayStation5, and Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.

In this demo, players can choose from three iconic characters from the BlazBlue franchise — Ragna, Es, and Hibiki — and experience the first three levels of the challenging "Dive" as many times as they like, until the game’s official global release on Feb 12, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.

Please note while the progress from the demo will not carry over to the official release later. All players with the demo’s save data will be eligible to receive an exclusive in-game item after BlazBlue Entropy Effect X officially launches!

Physical Edition

The pre-orders for Digital Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition are available now on PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop. The Deluxe Edition items will be included for Physical Editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, now available for pre-order and will release the same day worldwide in most of the regions.

Story

At a mysterious domain, known as “the Lab”, a group of elite researchers race to save a collapsing world; however, despite their efforts to date, Dr. Mercurius, head of the laboratory, still warns the world’s downfall is near.

In a last-ditch effort, the urgent Research of Possibility initiative seeks to collect Shards of Possibility – a special fragment of the world that could forestall the seemingly inevitable destruction. These shards lie within the Sea of Possibility, a realm between worlds, beyond the bounds of reality.
